TWD - Rhubarb Cherry Cobbler

This week's TWD was chosen by Amanda. I wasn't able to find any rhubarb - fresh or otherwise. I used some tart nectarines in place of the rhubarb. I don't think I did a very good job with the cobbler part - they weren't very tasty. My butter was frozen so I wasn't able to incorporate well be hand. The fruit part was good. My husband discovered that ginger in sweet foods tastes salty to him, so he didn't care for it much.

I didn't get to try mine but I wondered about the ginger! I was thinking there was a lot of it in the recipe! Hopefully you will enjoy next weeks more!

Welcome to TWD. Your cobbler experience sounds like mine. We weren't to crazy about it either. Your pictures look good though!

Lucky you (about the cleaning bit)! The nice thing about baking every week is that there are so many choices and chances to try different things.

Welcome to TWD. Sorry you weren't crazy about the crust, I was the opposite - I loved the crust but wasn't keen on the flavour of the cooked fruit. Maybe next week! :)
